Spring Flower Wreath

Well being in the Easter Basket Swap, I thought I'd like to make the above wreath for my swap partner.  This is how mine turned out:
I hope my swap partner is going to like it.  I just love the little bunny...he's sooooo cute!
Now I'm just going to have to make one for me too!

More Spring-ish Projects!

Easter mug and matching mug-rug

Tuck-ins

Well this week I finished off the mug-rug for Aunt Pitty-Pat's Easter Mug Rug swap...and mailed it away!  This is how it turned out.  I had a hard time coming up with a decent Easter-themed mug in our little town, but I tried my best to match the mug-rug to what I had found.

Last week I started another spring skirt, so this am. I finished it up.  I used Simplicity#3796, took off the fake fly and pockets, and added the little ruffle to the bottom.  With the scraps I made a scarf:  my lamp was happy to model it!

Now I am working on my Easter basket swap stuff.  When it's mailed off I'll post pictures!

Spring clothes!

So I decided with some warmer weather on the way I should whip up some new spring clothes.  This is what I made:  the sweater is made of two long sleeved t-shirts...on sale $3.00 @ Wal-mart.  Cut the one down the front to make a carigan, used the other one for the ruffle.  My serger is working right now, so I just used pinking shears for the edges.  Fast and easy!  Skirt is simplicity pattern #2410.  I added a biased binding that I made...and there is a little bow that you can't see so well in the photo on the right hand edge.  AND these are the shoes I want to get to go with the outfit...Detail ImageWe'll see!

My chicken swap parcel arrives!

Went to the post office to pick up my parcel from Tammy today!  Look at the adorable apron that she made me!  And she included all these chicken-y tuckins as well...  I think I was one lucky swapper!

My new craft project!

Over the spring break I busied myself with a new project...basket-making!!
Lemon Drop Basket with Lid
Here are what I've made so far:  the one on the far right was my first attempt, then I made the Easter basket (which may be the prototype for the Easter Basket swap I'm in currently), then I made the "boat" basket for OLIVE and EARL to live in....aren't they just the sweetest little salt and peppers ever...(found at a Nest Repeat store,  and they just had to come home with me) and last the lemon-drop basket with lid...for hubby's lemon drops!

Hot Mama Apron Swap parcel off!

If your name is TAMMY and you don't want to spoil your surprise...don't look any further!!!  But while I had some time this morning (I'm on spring break...yay!) I wanted to post these pictures of the apron I made for the Chicken Lovin' Apron Swap for Tammy....and some of the tuck-ins I added to her parcel!

I really liked how the fabric-covered buttons turned out!

I made her a kitchen towel to match the apron...and bought everything else...oh wait...I added a chicken to the soap with some paraffin wax.  I love those little egg guys!   They are a one-egg fry pan and lifter, and a little scrubby brush.  And although the picture doesn't do him justice, that is a little red chicken timer in the box, and a pr. of salt and pepper shakers named Fritz and Frizzle.

Hubby suggested I take the pictures outside...and I think he was right....they look much better in the bright sun-shine!
